A small field of maidens opens the program, where SHIBASAKI (6) resumes from a break. He was very good on debut when heavily backed late, charging home from the back of the field to finish second in quick time before doing a few things wrong at his following start. He has since been given a break and has not been sighted at the trials, but there is no doubting his ability and, if he returns anywhere near his best, he should prove too classy for this field. KAYBEE (3) is an improving type and looks the main danger, while CRUNCHTHEGUN (5) has shown he possesses ability despite having a tendency to do a few things wrong. He made good late ground when finishing second last week and can again be competitive. LIFE ONA HIGHWAY (2) was not far away when leading in this grade prior to a disappointing effort last start and again looks the likely leader, giving him every chance over the suitable mile journey. Race comment
A small field of maidens opens the program, where SHIBASAKI (6) resumes from a break. He was very good on debut when heavily backed late, charging home from the back of the field to finish second in quick time before doing a few things wrong at his following start. He has since been given a break and has not been sighted at the trials, but there is no doubting his ability and, if he returns anywhere near his best, he should prove too classy for this field. KAYBEE (3) is an improving type and looks the main danger, while CRUNCHTHEGUN (5) has shown he possesses ability despite having a tendency to do a few things wrong. He made good late ground when finishing second last week and can again be competitive. LIFE ONA HIGHWAY (2) was not far away when leading in this grade prior to a disappointing effort last start and again looks the likely leader, giving him every chance over the suitable mile journey.
