OKANUI BEACH (4) returns to the state after a handy second in the Sires Stakes as a three-year-old and looked super impressive when charging home from the back of the field with a blistering last half first up from a spell two weeks ago. He also possesses excellent gate speed, so it would not surprise to see him zip straight to the front here and prove extremely hard to run down. PREPARATION (1) did not have much luck last week after being checked during the running but still looked somewhat disappointing. However, if he returns to his best form, he clearly looks the main danger to the expected favourite. OKANUI BEACH (4) returns to the state after a handy second in the Sires Stakes as a three-year-old and looked super impressive when charging home from the back of the field with a blistering last half first up from a spell two weeks ago. He also possesses excellent gate speed, so it would not surprise to see him zip straight to the front here and prove extremely hard to run down. PREPARATION (1) did not have much luck last week after being checked during the running but still looked somewhat disappointing. However, if he returns to his best form, he clearly looks the main danger to the expected favourite.
