BETTABLACK TIGER (10) is a progressive type and ran home strongly when second behind a handy rival last start. He will be hoping to get a cart into the race from INTRUSION (9), though expect he may be put into the race early as he has been in recent starts, while still proving capable of finishing off strongly. He has been racing in excellent form in metropolitan Victoria and looks well suited in this field. STEPPING STONES (8) has drawn awkwardly but will be right in the finish if there is genuine tempo and the gaps appear.
