OVERVIEW: The Gath combination unveil another former New Zealander in HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) in the second event. He has been racing against strong opposition across the Tasman and there has been plenty of confidence shown in his ability considering he is competing in a $20,000 Metropolitan event at his local debut and he could have opted for an easier race being assessed as a National Ratings 58. He ran a massive race for fourth at Addington last outing after having a decent crack for the lead early and being left stranded without cover over the staying trip of 2600m. He recorded quick time in winning a Melton trial on Tuesday. ERROR (9) was placed in the Super Series Final won by Our Princess Tiffany at Melton three starts ago so she has the class to be competitive at this level. Her last performance was over the very short course of 1200m and she might be better suited under these conditions. HUGO ROCKS (11) was headed off at the start and trailed the leader before being held up for a run at a vital stage at Melton last outing. He is poorly drawn but his overall form is strong and he is worth thought. OUR SIR OLIVER (8) will be relying on HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) holding a forward position at the start but he is a value hope after his victory at Maryborough last week. OVERVIEW: The Gath combination unveil another former New Zealander in HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) in the second event. He has been racing against strong opposition across the Tasman and there has been plenty of confidence shown in his ability considering he is competing in a $20,000 Metropolitan event at his local debut and he could have opted for an easier race being assessed as a National Ratings 58. He ran a massive race for fourth at Addington last outing after having a decent crack for the lead early and being left stranded without cover over the staying trip of 2600m. He recorded quick time in winning a Melton trial on Tuesday. ERROR (9) was placed in the Super Series Final won by Our Princess Tiffany at Melton three starts ago so she has the class to be competitive at this level. Her last performance was over the very short course of 1200m and she might be better suited under these conditions. HUGO ROCKS (11) was headed off at the start and trailed the leader before being held up for a run at a vital stage at Melton last outing. He is poorly drawn but his overall form is strong and he is worth thought. OUR SIR OLIVER (8) will be relying on HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) holding a forward position at the start but he is a value hope after his victory at Maryborough last week. GOODTIME GRACE (5) led throughout from the pole position at Geelong last outing and is worth thought. VANITY BAY (2) and ROSARITO MISS (3) could both show up without surprising. OVERVIEW: The Gath combination unveil another former New Zealander in HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) in the second event. He has been racing against strong opposition across the Tasman and there has been plenty of confidence shown in his ability considering he is competing in a $20,000 Metropolitan event at his local debut and he could have opted for an easier race being assessed as a National Ratings 58. He ran a massive race for fourth at Addington last outing after having a decent crack for the lead early and being left stranded without cover over the staying trip of 2600m. He recorded quick time in winning a Melton trial on Tuesday. ERROR (9) was placed in the Super Series Final won by Our Princess Tiffany at Melton three starts ago so she has the class to be competitive at this level. Her last performance was over the very short course of 1200m and she might be better suited under these conditions. HUGO ROCKS (11) was headed off at the start and trailed the leader before being held up for a run at a vital stage at Melton last outing. He is poorly drawn but his overall form is strong and he is worth thought. OUR SIR OLIVER (8) will be relying on HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) holding a forward position at the start but he is a value hope after his victory at Maryborough last week. Race comment
OVERVIEW: The Gath combination unveil another former New Zealander in HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) in the second event. He has been racing against strong opposition across the Tasman and there has been plenty of confidence shown in his ability considering he is competing in a $20,000 Metropolitan event at his local debut and he could have opted for an easier race being assessed as a National Ratings 58. He ran a massive race for fourth at Addington last outing after having a decent crack for the lead early and being left stranded without cover over the staying trip of 2600m. He recorded quick time in winning a Melton trial on Tuesday. ERROR (9) was placed in the Super Series Final won by Our Princess Tiffany at Melton three starts ago so she has the class to be competitive at this level. Her last performance was over the very short course of 1200m and she might be better suited under these conditions. HUGO ROCKS (11) was headed off at the start and trailed the leader before being held up for a run at a vital stage at Melton last outing. He is poorly drawn but his overall form is strong and he is worth thought. OUR SIR OLIVER (8) will be relying on HE’S UNDER WRAPS (1) holding a forward position at the start but he is a value hope after his victory at Maryborough last week. GOODTIME GRACE (5) led throughout from the pole position at Geelong last outing and is worth thought. VANITY BAY (2) and ROSARITO MISS (3) could both show up without surprising.
