OVERVIEW: THE LONGEST DAY (3) is a former New Zealander, which performed well below expectations on her Australian debut at Menangle. She joins trainer David Aiken and has impressed at her past two trial performances, the latest being a runaway victory at Shepparton, so she should prove hard to beat. HAYTARA (6) is a New South Wales trained pacer, which ran fourth in the Bathurst Gold Bracelet (Group 1) last season. She was heavily supported at her first run since August, showed good gate speed, got to the lead at the 1400m and was untroubled in scoring at Goulburn last outing. She is a handy mare and should make her presence felt. SUMMER PANTS (7) began quickly and pushed forward to race without cover when she scored at Maryborough last outing. This is a rise in class but she has performed nicely in her three starts since coming from New Zealand so she cannot be discarded. MISSKONTIKI (2) is a fast beginner and will be looking to get across to the markers shortly after the start. She raced without cover at her latest second and she has been placed at her past five appearances so she is worth thought in multiple combinations. MELINKA (8) is awkwardly drawn but is capable of sprinting to the line quickly with the right trail forward and is worth a place ticket. OVERVIEW: THE LONGEST DAY (3) is a former New Zealander, which performed well below expectations on her Australian debut at Menangle. She joins trainer David Aiken and has impressed at her past two trial performances, the latest being a runaway victory at Shepparton, so she should prove hard to beat. HAYTARA (6) is a New South Wales trained pacer, which ran fourth in the Bathurst Gold Bracelet (Group 1) last season. She was heavily supported at her first run since August, showed good gate speed, got to the lead at the 1400m and was untroubled in scoring at Goulburn last outing. She is a handy mare and should make her presence felt. SUMMER PANTS (7) began quickly and pushed forward to race without cover when she scored at Maryborough last outing. This is a rise in class but she has performed nicely in her three starts since coming from New Zealand so she cannot be discarded. MISSKONTIKI (2) is a fast beginner and will be looking to get across to the markers shortly after the start. She raced without cover at her latest second and she has been placed at her past five appearances so she is worth thought in multiple combinations. MELINKA (8) is awkwardly drawn but is capable of sprinting to the line quickly with the right trail forward and is worth a place ticket.
