OVERVIEW: BRANTLEY (9) was four back on the inside then was fifth on the home turn before he switched to the sprint lane and finished solidly for second behind Ourbeachsomewhere in a mile of 1.56.7 at Cranbourne last outing. His only unplaced run since coming from New Zealand was in a heat of the Provincial Cup and he should be competitive again. MISSCHANEL (2) was restrained to last from the outside of the front row and was held up for a run at a vital stage before running home strongly for a game second behind River Patrol at Ballarat last week. She has early speed and is likely to give a forward showing. HAIR RAZOR (6) settled last on the outside, came out three horses wide at the mile marker and sprinted quickly to find the lead at the 1300m when he looked to be the winner on the turn before peaking late at his latest Cranbourne third. He is a strong type and should go well again. FOWSANDS (1) gains a good draw with the aid of a concession claim and scored at Geelong on December 04. He should receive every chance and is worth a ticket each way. PIPPO NIEN (3) and HER HEART OF GOLD (5) could both show up without surprising. OVERVIEW: BRANTLEY (9) was four back on the inside then was fifth on the home turn before he switched to the sprint lane and finished solidly for second behind Ourbeachsomewhere in a mile of 1.56.7 at Cranbourne last outing. His only unplaced run since coming from New Zealand was in a heat of the Provincial Cup and he should be competitive again. MISSCHANEL (2) was restrained to last from the outside of the front row and was held up for a run at a vital stage before running home strongly for a game second behind River Patrol at Ballarat last week. She has early speed and is likely to give a forward showing. HAIR RAZOR (6) settled last on the outside, came out three horses wide at the mile marker and sprinted quickly to find the lead at the 1300m when he looked to be the winner on the turn before peaking late at his latest Cranbourne third. He is a strong type and should go well again. FOWSANDS (1) gains a good draw with the aid of a concession claim and scored at Geelong on December 04. OVERVIEW: BRANTLEY (9) was four back on the inside then was fifth on the home turn before he switched to the sprint lane and finished solidly for second behind Ourbeachsomewhere in a mile of 1.56.7 at Cranbourne last outing. His only unplaced run since coming from New Zealand was in a heat of the Provincial Cup and he should be competitive again. MISSCHANEL (2) was restrained to last from the outside of the front row and was held up for a run at a vital stage before running home strongly for a game second behind River Patrol at Ballarat last week. She has early speed and is likely to give a forward showing. HAIR RAZOR (6) settled last on the outside, came out three horses wide at the mile marker and sprinted quickly to find the lead at the 1300m when he looked to be the winner on the turn before peaking late at his latest Cranbourne third. He is a strong type and should go well again. FOWSANDS (1) gains a good draw with the aid of a concession claim and scored at Geelong on December 04. He should receive every chance and is worth a ticket each way. PIPPO NIEN (3) and HER HEART OF GOLD (5) could both show up without surprising. EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 4,5,6 RATINGS: 2,9/ 1,6/ 3,5/ 4,8/ 7
