Race comment

Eased early and covered extra ground when 8.5m 5th $3.00 (Fr10) Wolf Stride Menangle 1609m (1:51.9) R5573 race Feb 25 then very impressive winner $1.30 (Fr1) over Always A Secret 15.2m Newcastle 2030m (1:56.3) R7398 race Mar 21. Last start winner at this course and distance; contender again despite a tricky draw.

Race comment

Resuming from a spell. Convincing winner $3.60 (Sr1) defeating Emm Aye Dee 9.5m Maitland 2422m (2:01.3) R5469 race Dec 22 then raced wide early when 2.7m 2nd $7.50 (Sr2) Benalong Valley Maitland 2422m the GROUP3 Inter City Pace Final (grp3) Dec 28. Resuming after a break should not pose a problem as he is a proven performer first-up (1 from 4) and has a solid record in this distance range; capable of winning this if ready.

Race comment

Slow to begin when 17m 6th $51 (Fr4) Straddie Newcastle 1609m (1:56.7) R5667 race Mar 14 then scored handily over Pilot Pete 2.5m $23 (Fr4) Newcastle 2030m (1:59.9) R5155 race Mar 21. Much tougher here than at latest run but hard to knock winning form.

Race comment

Was a handy winner $3.20 (Fr1) defeating Days End 3.5m Newcastle 1609m (1:56.1) R6088 race Mar 14 then sound effort when 6.7m 4th $34 (Fr1) Speak No Evil Menangle 1609m (1:50.9) R7395 race Mar 21. Holding form and suited in this distance range (4 wins); this easier than past couple and warrants respect.

Race comment

Galloped out when 14.5m 4th $3.10 (Fr6) Itz Georgiaonmymind NZ Newcastle 1609m (1:56.1) R6088 race Mar 14 then scored handily defeating For The Bettor 5m $3.80 (Fr5) Newcastle 1609m (1:55.9) R6185 race Mar 21. Covered extra ground early last start but still won; dawn out again but stays in the mix.

Race comment

Inconvenienced when 37m 3rd $61 (Sr4) Leonidas Tamworth 1980m (1:56.3) R5673 race Jan 19 then eased early when 15.2m 8th $151 (Fr7) Pembrooks Passion NZ Newcastle 2030m (1:57.6) R7193 race Feb 28. Not hopeless on sound win in weaker company four back.
