SABALENKA (1) takes on the older horses despite still being a maiden after showing plenty of ability as a two-year-old filly. She was very good last start when a short-priced favourite in a fast-run race and now draws the pole. However, she is likely to come under early pressure from MIRA DOMINA (2) and WINSUM BELLA (3), who both possess sharp gate speed and are expected to be driven aggressively over the mile. As a result, she may require a touch of luck at the business end of the race, even in this smaller field. PARK LANE (4) is another with good gate speed when asked and could also press forward early. Like the other on-speed runners, she can overdo things in the run, which could set up a very fast first half of the race. Race comment
SABALENKA (1) takes on the older horses despite still being a maiden after showing plenty of ability as a two-year-old filly. She was very good last start when a short-priced favourite in a fast-run race and now draws the pole. However, she is likely to come under early pressure from MIRA DOMINA (2) and WINSUM BELLA (3), who both possess sharp gate speed and are expected to be driven aggressively over the mile. As a result, she may require a touch of luck at the business end of the race, even in this smaller field. PARK LANE (4) is another with good gate speed when asked and could also press forward early. Like the other on-speed runners, she can overdo things in the run, which could set up a very fast first half of the race.
