Race comment
There should be genuine speed on early over the mile, with most of the front row possessing good gate speed. FOURTH RESPONSE (1) never saw clear running last start after electing to trail the leader as a short-priced favourite. He may not have the speed to hold the lead here, but from the pole draw he should get every chance to utilise the sprint lane and return to the winner's circle. THE DEVILS FLAME (2) was an impressive winner at his first start in Tasmania after working three-wide early to find the death seat before proving too strong, and again looks one of the leading chances. It would also be no surprise to see MY WAY (7) fired out of the gate with Dylan Ford aboard, as he is generally an aggressive driver and the gelding possesses excellent gate speed when asked. WAZOWSKI (3) is another with good early speed and winning form. She has since changed stables and should be able to secure a prominent position throughout. Race comment
There should be genuine speed on early over the mile, with most of the front row possessing good gate speed. FOURTH RESPONSE (1) never saw clear running last start after electing to trail the leader as a short-priced favourite. He may not have the speed to hold the lead here, but from the pole draw he should get every chance to utilise the sprint lane and return to the winner's circle. THE DEVILS FLAME (2) was an impressive winner at his first start in Tasmania after working three-wide early to find the death seat before proving too strong, and again looks one of the leading chances. It would also be no surprise to see MY WAY (7) fired out of the gate with Dylan Ford aboard, as he is generally an aggressive driver and the gelding possesses excellent gate speed when asked. WAZOWSKI (3) is another with good early speed and winning form. She has since changed stables and should be able to secure a prominent position throughout. Race comment
There should be genuine speed on early over the mile, with most of the front row possessing good gate speed. FOURTH RESPONSE (1) never saw clear running last start after electing to trail the leader as a short-priced favourite. He may not have the speed to hold the lead here, but from the pole draw he should get every chance to utilise the sprint lane and return to the winner's circle. THE DEVILS FLAME (2) was an impressive winner at his first start in Tasmania after working three-wide early to find the death seat before proving too strong, and again looks one of the leading chances. It would also be no surprise to see MY WAY (7) fired out of the gate with Dylan Ford aboard, as he is generally an aggressive driver and the gelding possesses excellent gate speed when asked. WAZOWSKI (3) is another with good early speed and winning form. She has since changed stables and should be able to secure a prominent position throughout. The back-row runners KARALTA ARTEMIS (10) and MOVESLIKEALADY (11) will be relying on genuine tempo up front to bring them into the race late, with the latter breaking through for a well-deserved maiden victory last start after a well-judged drive.Selections: FOURTH RESPONSE (1), , THE DEVILS FLAME (2), KARALTA ARTEMIS (10), MOVESLIKELADY (11)
