ASTORMSABREWEN (1) gets the opportunity to add another win to the tally and should have enough gate speed to hold the lead over the short trip. She continues to improve with racing and looks one of the leading chances. The recent Victorian imports SHES NANCY (2), HEYNOWHEYNOW (3) and STORM VENDETTA (4) will all be looking to settle on speed to give themselves their best opportunity of figuring in the finish. Race comment
A competitive race for the three-year-olds brings together a field with plenty of recent maiden winners looking to continue their progression. ASTORMSABREWEN (1) gets the opportunity to add another win to the tally and should have enough gate speed to hold the lead over the short trip. She continues to improve with racing and looks one of the leading chances. The recent Victorian imports SHES NANCY (2), HEYNOWHEYNOW (3) and STORM VENDETTA (4) will all be looking to settle on speed to give themselves their best opportunity of figuring in the finish. The two-win runners drawn on the back row have generally been consistent and will be relying on genuine tempo throughout to bring them into the race late. QUEEN ANASTASIA (8) should enjoy a cosy run behind the expected leader and can improve after being inconvenienced first up, while PORT RUN MACHINE (11) and JILLSTIGER (12) both drop back in class from their recent assignments.
