RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: SNEAKY PHILTRA (5) was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off well for a distant second behind Wow You Can Dance two starts ago then followed with an unplaced effort behind the same horse last week. This is a race of less depth and she should be ready to strike her peak form after having four starts back from a break. HESASTAR (8) led out then took cover and battled into fifth last week. He parked without cover and performed fairly well at his previous four attempts so he is worth another chance. VILLAGE LOVER (4) is a fast beginner and will be fitter after his first run back from a long spell at Port Pirie. He is unlikely to be able to head off GROVE DALE (3) at the start but he should be competitive under these conditions. ROCKING WROXTON (9) enjoyed the perfect run in front and disappointed at the end when seventh ($3-50 fav) at Mildura last outing. He was placed against similar opposition at his two attempts prior so he is worth another chance. BACK: SNEAKY PHILTRA (5) – 1.5 units (each way)
