RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: HIGH TEMPO (1) won two trials prior to a debut third at Maryborough, where he led and was pressured hard in the back straight on the final occasion (27.1 third quarter!). He is drawn to lead again and this race is easier so he is clearly the horse to beat. BOBBYS ROOM (8) was doing his best work at the end when third on debut. He has the perfect trailing draw behind HIGH TEMPO (1) and he should have benefited from his first up performance so he is a strong Quinella hope. There is a good chance CARAPAZ (9) will switch back to the markers and follow through behind HIGH TEMPO (1) and BOBBYS ROOM (8) at the start. He was driven aggressively mid-race to find the lead at the 1200m when a handy second at Ouyen last outing and is a place chance again. THAT’S KEVIN (6) finished off quickly at his latest eye-catching third and is worth thought in multiple combinations. BACK: HIGH TEMPO (1) – 3 units (win)
