RACE COMMENT
Mixed form lines converge for the opening event on the card with two, three and four-year-olds all lining up against each other. FRANCS FOR COMING (1) found the front last start at Redcliffe but was collared in the closing stages, just a neck from the winner. Holding on for the silver when setting the tempo from this gate three back, he might just have found the right conditions. STRIPES (6) returns from a brief let up after her last appearance in the Triad Final when midfield behind the talented RIDE THE HIGHS. Runner-up to that same winner in the heats of that Series, she has hit the board in four of her seven starts and the small field is in her favour.
