OVERVIEW: SPORTZSCRIBE (6) has been unplaced in two trial efforts leading up to his first run since October but he has been competing against horses with much higher points on the National Ratings scale. He has a consistent record and was runner up in mile rates of 1.55.1 and 1.55.5 towards the end of his last campaign so he appears to be beautifully placed in this event. GOODLOOKIN ROOSTER (2) began brilliantly to lead but became fierce in the middle stages and did well to hold down third at Maryborough. He is suited under these conditions and should give another forward showing. TRYNA PORTRAY (1) trailed the leader and appeared to have her chance last week but she finished quickly for second behind Shaq (won again since) prior and was able to secure a victory via the sprint lane at Shepparton in June. SASSCILIAN (7) did a good job to finish fifth after a slow getaway at Maryborough and is capable of improving on his numerical form, despite the poor draw. EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 1,5 RATINGS: 6/ 1,2/ 7/ 4,5/ 3

OVERVIEW: SPORTZSCRIBE (6) has been unplaced in two trial efforts leading up to his first run since October but he has been competing against horses with much higher points on the National Ratings scale. He has a consistent record and was runner up in mile rates of 1.55.1 and 1.55.5 towards the end of his last campaign so he appears to be beautifully placed in this event. GOODLOOKIN ROOSTER (2) began brilliantly to lead but became fierce in the middle stages and did well to hold down third at Maryborough. He is suited under these conditions and should give another forward showing. TRYNA PORTRAY (1) trailed the leader and appeared to have her chance last week but she finished quickly for second behind Shaq (won again since) prior and was able to secure a victory via the sprint lane at Shepparton in June. SASSCILIAN (7) did a good job to finish fifth after a slow getaway at Maryborough and is capable of improving on his numerical form, despite the poor draw.
