OVERVIEW: It is a difficult task to win from the outside of the second line at Echuca but ORBIE (11) appears to be extremely well graded with the aid of a concession clam and should prove hard to beat again. She began quickly, gained a trail and finished off strongly to defeat Night Spirit in a mile rate of 1.55.5 at Melton last outing. MAGIC MIKE (9) is a former New Zealand pacer, which joins trainer Julie Douglas. He finished second at Gore after racing out three horses wide for the final lap last outing and the horse that finished third (Miss Auckland) has won three races since so the form line appears to be strong. HAVE NO CHOICE (1) was no match for ORBIE (11) at their last encounter but his overall form is strong and he is perfectly drawn over the sprint trip so he should be competitive. TIDAL SURGE (2) is resuming since a sixth at Penrith in June and returns to Victoria under the mentorship of Steven Duffy. He has been unplaced in two recent Shepparton trial performances but he took on strong opposition and he is drawn to run a big race first up. OVERVIEW: It is a difficult task to win from the outside of the second line at Echuca but ORBIE (11) appears to be extremely well graded with the aid of a concession clam and should prove hard to beat again. She began quickly, gained a trail and finished off strongly to defeat Night Spirit in a mile rate of 1.55.5 at Melton last outing. MAGIC MIKE (9) is a former New Zealand pacer, which joins trainer Julie Douglas. He finished second at Gore after racing out three horses wide for the final lap last outing and the horse that finished third (Miss Auckland) has won three races since so the form line appears to be strong. HAVE NO CHOICE (1) was no match for ORBIE (11) at their last encounter but his overall form is strong and he is perfectly drawn over the sprint trip so he should be competitive. TIDAL SURGE (2) is resuming since a sixth at Penrith in June and returns to Victoria under the mentorship of Steven Duffy. He has been unplaced in two recent Shepparton trial performances but he took on strong opposition and he is drawn to run a big race first up. OVERVIEW: It is a difficult task to win from the outside of the second line at Echuca but ORBIE (11) appears to be extremely well graded with the aid of a concession clam and should prove hard to beat again. She began quickly, gained a trail and finished off strongly to defeat Night Spirit in a mile rate of 1.55.5 at Melton last outing. MAGIC MIKE (9) is a former New Zealand pacer, which joins trainer Julie Douglas. He finished second at Gore after racing out three horses wide for the final lap last outing and the horse that finished third (Miss Auckland) has won three races since so the form line appears to be strong. HAVE NO CHOICE (1) was no match for ORBIE (11) at their last encounter but his overall form is strong and he is perfectly drawn over the sprint trip so he should be competitive.
