OVERVIEW: FREDDIESAM (5) is a former New Zealand pacer, which produced two wins in succession at Winton in December. He galloped away from the standing start in the Gore and Roxburgh Cups and his last run was outstanding as he missed the start by over 100m and still beat a few runners to the line. He should take beating on that effort. MEA CULPA (4) led throughout at Geelong then followed with a third behind a handy type in The Chancer at Melton. He is a fast beginner and is likely to make his presence felt. JUSTCALLMEAZA (1) races best over the sprint distance but possesses early speed and is ideally drawn to receive every chance so a forward showing is expected. ROSLYN GAYE (8) probably defeated a stronger field at Shepparton on Monday but she assumed her favourite role of being the pace maker and she drops back to the second row this evening. She is a fast mare and is worth an investment. GOODLOOKIN ROOSTER (2) is racing in career best form and is worth thought along with PAYUP ORLEAVE (9).
