OVERVIEW: Without doubt the proliferation of preferential draw races at metro level is there to incite pace, movement and action. On face value that brief will be filled here. With no super-natural leader off the front for but plenty of early pace we have a perfect recipe for early pressure. Should there be enough fireworks explode then SONNY WEAVER (10) and MAJOR MEISTER (8) may well have this between them. SONNY WEAVER (10) was scratched from a race here last weekend but if he’s ready to roll then it’s very easy to imagine a scenario where he peels wide off cover and simply blows these away. With the right fortune however, the same can be said for MAJOR MEISTER (8) who has teased on more than one occasion that he’s a serious horse. If the predicted speed doesn’t eventuate then GLENAVRIL KING (2) looms large as he should cross the pole and have options once he does but also beware the wrath of TYPHOON STRIDE (5) who landed a min-plunge at massive odds on Hunter Cup night and was very good last weekend again. OVERVIEW: Without doubt the proliferation of preferential draw races at metro level is there to incite pace, movement and action. On face value that brief will be filled here. With no super-natural leader off the front for but plenty of early pace we have a perfect recipe for early pressure. Should there be enough fireworks explode then SONNY WEAVER (10) and MAJOR MEISTER (8) may well have this between them. SONNY WEAVER (10) was scratched from a race here last weekend but if he’s ready to roll then it’s very easy to imagine a scenario where he peels wide off cover and simply blows these away. With the right fortune however, the same can be said for MAJOR MEISTER (8) who has teased on more than one occasion that he’s a serious horse. If the predicted speed doesn’t eventuate then GLENAVRIL KING (2) looms large as he should cross the pole and have options once he does but also beware the wrath of TYPHOON STRIDE (5) who landed a min-plunge at massive odds on Hunter Cup night and was very good last weekend again. OVERVIEW: Without doubt the proliferation of preferential draw races at metro level is there to incite pace, movement and action. On face value that brief will be filled here. With no super-natural leader off the front for but plenty of early pace we have a perfect recipe for early pressure. Should there be enough fireworks explode then SONNY WEAVER (10) and MAJOR MEISTER (8) may well have this between them. SONNY WEAVER (10) was scratched from a race here last weekend but if he’s ready to roll then it’s very easy to imagine a scenario where he peels wide off cover and simply blows these away. With the right fortune however, the same can be said for MAJOR MEISTER (8) who has teased on more than one occasion that he’s a serious horse. If the predicted speed doesn’t eventuate then GLENAVRIL KING (2) looms large as he should cross the pole and have options once he does but also beware the wrath of TYPHOON STRIDE (5) who landed a min-plunge at massive odds on Hunter Cup night and was very good last weekend again.
