OVERVIEW: ONECROWDEDHOUR (7) was placed behind the smart pacer Would You Mind in fast time at a Bendigo trial effort prior to a first up fifth at Yarra Valley where he settled down last and came out three horses wide from the 900m mark. He strikes a suitable assignment now and should run a big race. FALLING SHARDS (1) is a maiden from 65 starts but she has been placed in 7 of her past 9 attempts and from the pole position, she gets a big opportunity to break through. She was held up badly for a run and was unlucky when third at Albury then commenced from the outside of the front line at her latest fourth. AWESOME REACTOR (5) possesses early speed and will be looking to find a prominent position around the first corner. She began quickly but was left stranded without cover, copped a check at the 150m and finished sixth at Yarra Valley. She was probably going to finish third at the time she struck bother so she is worth another chance. COOKS CANVAS (2) gains her best draw for a long time and competed against stronger opposition when sixth at Cobram last outing so she gets her chance to improve.
