OVERVIEW: What in the world do we make of HONOLUA BAY (9)? Before the Vicbred Super Series semi-finals he was one of the most spruiked Standardbreds in the land and his failure that night came with explanations. Driven off speed a fortnight back he was better but far from his old self. If he turns up they won’t see which way he went but backing him won’t come without risk and following market flucs may prove pivotal for those wanting to play in the opening event and those punting Early Quads. If the jungle drums are beating against the class runner then there are three other serious winning chances. MAJOR MANBAR (11) has been flying all prep without quite breaking through. If Jimmy Herb simply follows HONOLUA BAY (9) from the start and they both come with one run in the final four furlongs then he’ll be very dangerous. By the same token if the big guns sit back and let DELIGHTFUL MIA (2) dictate terms she’ll also go very close based on her super solid recent form and searing speed off the arm. The other significant danger is AMERICAN ALLI (5). Berisari’s brother is stepping into a bigger league this prep but with one run back from a break we’ll find out where he actually sits if forced to park as expected here in transit. Before the Vicbred Super Series semi-finals he was one of the most spruiked Standardbreds in the land and his failure that night came with explanations. Driven off speed a fortnight back he was better but far from his old self. If he turns up they won’t see which way he went but backing him won’t come without risk and following market flucs may prove pivotal for those wanting to play in the opening event and those punting Early Quads. If the jungle drums are beating against the class runner then there are three other serious winning chances. MAJOR MANBAR (11) has been flying all prep without quite breaking through. If Jimmy Herb simply follows HONOLUA BAY (9) from the start and they both come with one run in the final four furlongs then he’ll be very dangerous. By the same token if the big guns sit back and let DELIGHTFUL MIA (2) dictate terms she’ll also go very close based on her super solid recent form and searing speed off the arm. OVERVIEW: What in the world do we make of HONOLUA BAY (9)? Before the Vicbred Super Series semi-finals he was one of the most spruiked Standardbreds in the land and his failure that night came with explanations. Driven off speed a fortnight back he was better but far from his old self. If he turns up they won’t see which way he went but backing him won’t come without risk and following market flucs may prove pivotal for those wanting to play in the opening event and those punting Early Quads. If the jungle drums are beating against the class runner then there are three other serious winning chances. MAJOR MANBAR (11) has been flying all prep without quite breaking through. If Jimmy Herb simply follows HONOLUA BAY (9) from the start and they both come with one run in the final four furlongs then he’ll be very dangerous. By the same token if the big guns sit back and let DELIGHTFUL MIA (2) dictate terms she’ll also go very close based on her super solid recent form and searing speed off the arm. The other significant danger is AMERICAN ALLI (5). Berisari’s brother is stepping into a bigger league this prep but with one run back from a break we’ll find out where he actually sits if forced to park as expected here in transit. OVERVIEW: What in the world do we make of HONOLUA BAY (9)? Before the Vicbred Super Series semi-finals he was one of the most spruiked Standardbreds in the land and his failure that night came with explanations. Driven off speed a fortnight back he was better but far from his old self. If he turns up they won’t see which way he went but backing him won’t come without risk and following market flucs may prove pivotal for those wanting to play in the opening event and those punting Early Quads. If the jungle drums are beating against the class runner then there are three other serious winning chances. MAJOR MANBAR (11) has been flying all prep without quite breaking through. If Jimmy Herb simply follows HONOLUA BAY (9) from the start and they both come with one run in the final four furlongs then he’ll be very dangerous. By the same token if the big guns sit back and let DELIGHTFUL MIA (2) dictate terms she’ll also go very close based on her super solid recent form and searing speed off the arm. The other significant danger is AMERICAN ALLI (5). Berisari’s brother is stepping into a bigger league this prep but with one run back from a break we’ll find out where he actually sits if forced to park as expected here in transit.
