OVERVIEW: On a night where competitive racing and genuine value won’t be easy to find, the first leg of tonight’s Quad represents a reasonable avenue for speculative punters to seriously get involved. And the start will be meaningful. If longshot player OZZIE BATTLER (3) or even PLAN CE (6) has a decent dip at crossing WATCH LIST (1) early and they charge the first few hundred metres then SCORCHA (9) can stalk, circumnavigate and probably own this event. He was probably entitled to win last weekend but did break clear a fair way from home and on his best night he looks the benchmark runner by a little space. Should WATCH LIST (1) enjoy a more pedestrian outset to this contest he can clearly lead and win so must go into consideration for Quads while the dangerous late closers are ROCKY CREED (12) who’ll relish the drop in grade this race represents and HEREHECOMES (11) who followed his first win in a while with another eye-catching effort at Bendigo last weekend. OVERVIEW: On a night where competitive racing and genuine value won’t be easy to find, the first leg of tonight’s Quad represents a reasonable avenue for speculative punters to seriously get involved. And the start will be meaningful. If longshot player OZZIE BATTLER (3) or even PLAN CE (6) has a decent dip at crossing WATCH LIST (1) early and they charge the first few hundred metres then SCORCHA (9) can stalk, circumnavigate and probably own this event. He was probably entitled to win last weekend but did break clear a fair way from home and on his best night he looks the benchmark runner by a little space. OVERVIEW: On a night where competitive racing and genuine value won’t be easy to find, the first leg of tonight’s Quad represents a reasonable avenue for speculative punters to seriously get involved. And the start will be meaningful. If longshot player OZZIE BATTLER (3) or even PLAN CE (6) has a decent dip at crossing WATCH LIST (1) early and they charge the first few hundred metres then SCORCHA (9) can stalk, circumnavigate and probably own this event. He was probably entitled to win last weekend but did break clear a fair way from home and on his best night he looks the benchmark runner by a little space. Should WATCH LIST (1) enjoy a more pedestrian outset to this contest he can clearly lead and win so must go into consideration for Quads while the dangerous late closers are ROCKY CREED (12) who’ll relish the drop in grade this race represents and HEREHECOMES (11) who followed his first win in a while with another eye-catching effort at Bendigo last weekend. OVERVIEW: On a night where competitive racing and genuine value won’t be easy to find, the first leg of tonight’s Quad represents a reasonable avenue for speculative punters to seriously get involved. And the start will be meaningful. If longshot player OZZIE BATTLER (3) or even PLAN CE (6) has a decent dip at crossing WATCH LIST (1) early and they charge the first few hundred metres then SCORCHA (9) can stalk, circumnavigate and probably own this event. He was probably entitled to win last weekend but did break clear a fair way from home and on his best night he looks the benchmark runner by a little space. Should WATCH LIST (1) enjoy a more pedestrian outset to this contest he can clearly lead and win so must go into consideration for Quads while the dangerous late closers are ROCKY CREED (12) who’ll relish the drop in grade this race represents and HEREHECOMES (11) who followed his first win in a while with another eye-catching effort at Bendigo last weekend.
