RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: ARZALI ROCKSTAR (4) ran a couple of great races despite being outclassed in the Vicbred Super Series heats and semis to reach the Group 1 final, where she was well beaten. She then went to Charlton as a $1.50 favourite, but dropped out severely and was found to have a slow recovery by vets. She’s trialled since at Bacchus Marsh and on her prior form is the one to beat in this very suitable 0-50 assignment where she looks a good chance of finding the front. BLUE MIKI (10) has led and won his last two in similar grade, and while this is harder from outside the back row, he must be respected. Other leading contenders appear to be SPEEDY HEALY (5), who closed off well from last at Kilmore on September 24 and has been thereabouts all campaign, and PRECIOUS BELLE (6), who often finishes off well and can strike with the right trip despite an awkward gate. BACK: ARZALI ROCKSTAR (4) – 2 units (win)
