RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: It is a very good start to the program with the return of the star local pacer MY ULTIMATE JIMMY (4) taking on the smart Aaron Dunn trained pacers MAXY WANTS TO PLAY (3) and HOT DEAL (6). MY ULTIMATE JIMMY (4) won a heat of the Mildura Cup in April and boasts the record of nine wins from nineteen starts on the track including several victories in mile rates of better than 1.55.0. He won a trial at Mildura last week and should make his presence felt. HOT DEAL (6) also boasts an exceptional strike rate at Mildura (11 of 27) and he came out three horses wide from eighth at the bell when a big winner last outing. He is very versatile and should prove hard to beat again. MAXY WANTS TO PLAY (3) trailed forward behind HOT DEAL (6) in the final lap and tried hard in the straight when a close second behind that pacer last time out. He is better drawn for this assignment and is worth thought again. PRIORITISE (5) was resuming since July when a creditable fourth behind Dhaulagiri at Mildura last outing.
