TOUCH OF REALITY (6) is a model of consistency without winning, and she went within a whisker of winning at Maryborough last start when able to lead. She’s in the mix again, albeit from a sticky draw. MUDDY (5) has been freshened with a trial since his debut second at this track, where he was able to map well from a tricky draw and performed well. He has decent ability and is worth respecting on what he’s shown. Then we have the two first-starting 3yos, COASTAL ELEGANCE (3) and ULTIMATE GRANGE (7), who have trialled okay but would need a significant market push to consider as winning chances.
