DESIRING DIAMONDS (6) led last time out at Menangle and was well beaten there. She is better than that effort and can look to bounce back to her best in this race where she looks well placed. BLACK VIPER (7) galloped last time out which took him out of play there. He made a break in his start prior but was able to run a good fourth there when running on strongly late. With better manners he looks a chance. SMOKEY BEAR (1) ran well last time out when first up from a spell to finish fourth behind Kicking Horse.
