RACE COMMENT

The low-class race of the night over the short trip looks another very open affair. COLORADO GIRL (1) gets her opportunity to improve from the pole draw after being well beaten at her first start in Tasmania when also got stood down. She has not been sighted publicly at the trials since, but if she can reproduce anything close to her Melbourne form and control the race from on speed, she would have to be a genuine winning chance. HORRIE OTARA (8) should enjoy a lovely run through from the inside of the back row and will get his opportunity to finish strongly with clear running. COLBY ART (7) may also benefit from a pegs run after working home well from wide positions in recent starts and is racing better than his numerical form suggests. TUFFTIGER (2) and LA PIERRE (3) should both secure handy positions on speed and have not been far away in this grade of late, while JAY MILLER (6) was solid when runner-up after doing plenty of work throughout last start and may adopt similar tactics again.
