RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: DELIGHTFUL MIKI (3) recorded a strong victory when she was resuming since December then copped plenty of pressure in the front running role when a game second behind Savon De Roche (won again since). She is a classy mare and is drawn to make her presence felt. HILTONS SPIRIT (4) settled in a rearward position and produced a barnstorming finish for second to Vivid Dream at Cranbourne last outing. He is racing consistently and looms as one of the leading chances again. MAXBECA (7) is resuming since April but he was racing in outstanding form at the end of his last preparation with victories in fast time at Bendigo and Charlton. He was runner up at a recent Maryborough trial effort and is not to be underestimated. GOOD DAY (9) performs best when he is able to lead so being drawn on the second row is a disadvantage but he does appear to be well placed against this field. BLAZIN BY (5) and TRYX VIXEN (6) have both been in winning form and cannot be left out of calculations. BACK: DELIGHTFUL MIKI (3) – 4 units (win)
