OVERVIEW: LIFE ON THE HILL (9) can get his manners wrong at the start, but when he is on his best behaviour, he has plenty of ability. Last start, he took shortcuts late and hit the line well. Barrier nine suits, as it gives him time to settle early. He has the best sectional times in this event. KEAYANG MINNESOTA (3) is a talented Volstead-sired trotter from the Lee stable, although her manners remain her biggest concern. She has had 10 starts and has only trotted all the way once, but that victory was dominant. If she trots throughout, she is the one to beat. However, history suggests she is more likely to make a mistake. WALKIN UNDERSTARZ (6) has endured a few awkward barriers and some bad luck but continues to produce handy performances. She has recorded the fastest last 800 metres of any runner in this field. TRUSCOTTS ELEGANCE (8) is a flashy chestnut with a nice turn of foot when saved for one run. Also respecting PIQUE (4) and ARGYLE MUSE (7). BACK: LIFE ON THE HILL (9) – 2 units (win)
