RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: DOT BALL (5) settled three back on the markers, was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off well for a game second at Cranbourne. She was a winner at Cranbourne on July 05 and this appears to be another suitable assignment so she is clearly the horse to beat. FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (8) will appreciate a drop back in class for this event and will be fitter from his first run in five weeks at Shepparton last week. He performs best when he is close to the pace so being drawn on the second line is a disadvantage but he appears to be well placed against this line up. AMADA VILLMA (6) is resuming since a sixth at Boort in March and hasn’t been to the trials. She possesses early speed and is a minor place hope against this line up. THE LADYBIRD (4) and GOODTIME MAE (7) are both worth thought in multiple combinations. BACK: DOT BALL (5) – 3 units (win)
