Race comment
The discretionary handicap for the free-for-all pacers again brings together a competitive field. CUSTOM HARLEY (2) has been brave in defeat at his past few starts after doing plenty of work and should be well suited by the longer distance. WAVES OF CHANCE (1) is chasing back-to-back victories after defeating that runner in handy time from the mobile last start and again shapes as one of the main chances. FLEETWOOD ROCK (5) is a noted fast beginner but may elect to take a sit in this stronger company. The backmarkers WATERMELON SUGAR (7) and STEPPING STONES (8) should both appreciate the longer trip, with STEPPING STONES (8) looking the strongest of the handicap runners.
