OVERVIEW: NUGGET ROGERS (2) will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment and should give a bold showing. He has been placed at both of his Mildura attempts previously and his close third behind Sharp Interest in a mile rate of 1.56.0 at Shepparton three starts ago is a good form pointer for this event. AVOCA BLUES (1) is a fast beginner and is a short course specialist. He had no luck after being out three horses wide early and being restrained to a rearward position last week and he is much better drawn for this assignment. WIPEOUT (7) is resuming since December but he was aggressively driven and battled on well at the trials last week so he should be close to his peak form. He has the perfect trailing draw behind AVOCA BLUES (1) and should receive an economical trip. THEBUCKSONYOU (4) bounced back to winning form when he gunned down Ruggards Gee Tee at Mildura on May 29 and is worth a ticket each way despite rising in class.

He has been placed at both of his Mildura attempts previously and his close third behind Sharp Interest in a mile rate of 1.56.0 at Shepparton three starts ago is a good form pointer for this event. AVOCA BLUES (1) is a fast beginner and is a short course specialist. He had no luck after being out three horses wide early and being restrained to a rearward position last week and he is much better drawn for this assignment. WIPEOUT (7) is resuming since December but he was aggressively driven and battled on well at the trials last week so he should be close to his peak form.
