RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: SWEET LUCY LOU (6) was confidently supported and finished off strongly from midfield on the markers when a close second behind Winshemay at Mildura last week. She has been runner up at her past three attempts and is capable of going one better now. SANTA CASA LEVI (4) was beaten by a long way at her latest sixth but her first three attempts were good enough to be competitive here. She raced without cover throughout and finished third as the popular elect in a race of similar standard on May 29. MAXI ANGEL (2) was always in a rearward position and struck trouble late when eighth last week. He moves to the front line now and his form prior was okay so a forward showing is expected. STARZZZOFTERRY (8) has been placed three of his past four starts. He dropped out after enduring a tough run last week but finished well from off the speed prior and should be suited by the trailing draw. BACK: SWEET LUCY LOU (6) – 1.5 units (each way)
