Race comment
A mixed event over 2138 where the 2YO AARDIES A STAR (3) can strengthen his push for a Protostar slot. Chaing home the smart CHIGGSY at his last NZ appearance before export, he produced an effortless victory at the mile here on May 12. He looks like a classy customer. SURREAL MORAN (6) is a newcomer that crosses the Tasman to join the Dixon stable. Arriving a one-win pacer, that win was recorded in October last year. Last raced in April when midfield behind the handy MYSTERY CREEK at Invercargill, a tidy trial at Redcliffe has him in this. BENNYDASOOK (9) has placed in five of eight for the season but has been unable to land a winning blow. Not helped by the second line, his last start was strong behind ROMAN CHARLIE. HARPER DELIGHT (1) has the benefit of the inside gate as she steps up to the middle trip for the first time. With the chance for the economical trip, she is a podium hope.
