RACE COMMENT
Over the short distance, there should be strong early tempo from the front row, which may leave a few vulnerable late. EMER (10) produced an improved effort last start when making ground from back in the field and will be heavily suited by genuine speed throughout. She looks capable of returning to the winner’s circle. LIFE ON A HIGHWAY (2) has good gate speed and ran a handy race over the middle distance last start. He should be better suited back to the shorter trip and can give a bold sight in front. WINSUM BELLA (3) should settle on speed with cover and gets her chance again after going down as favourite at her past two starts since arriving in the state. GEE YOUNG (5) and LORD JAYDO (6) will show their usual gate speed but both need to improve on recent runs where they have failed to finish off.
