RACE COMMENT
TIGER SHIRL (5) is better than the way she’s been racing in recent outings. She draws the best of the main chances in this race and can look to press forward and find the lead. IF she was able to lead she would take plenty of running down in a race of this nature. SCHOONERS (9) started first up in QLD for the stable of Alex Johnson last time out and was able to score a quite dominant win when leading all the way. She is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and should run well again in this race. SON OF DOC (6) has poor numerical form and will definitely need some luck to get into this race from the wide draw. He got a long way back last start and really hit the line powerfully late in a race taken out by Ruby Rhayne Bow. He appears to find a race that’s a touch easier here. DESIGNER JEWEL (8) was well beaten in a restricted wins race taken out by Eternal Bliss. She should get a reasonable run through and will be running on late if the race is run to suit.
