RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: CRESCO THREEPEAT (6) produced its best run in some time last week at big odds, finishing strongly in a solid final half. That was his first front-row draw for a while and he may again secure a nice run across to get in front of some key rivals. WATCH YOUR BACK (5) creates interest first-up for a new stable after arriving from Queensland, where he often showed good gate speed. The stable has had success with these types of acquisitions, so any betting moves should be respected. OUR MYSTERY BET (10) was heavily supported and won impressively last week. He may be better suited over the middle distance and can be hard to catch, but a repeat performance has him in the mix. TEX GOES BANG (12) has been in good form his past four starts, but the draw makes things difficult, and he’ll need the right tempo to show his best.
