RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: MUSELET (5) won twice in succession prior to taking on the Metropolitan grade at his past two unplaced Melton attempts. This is a significant drop back in class and he is a very quick beginner so he is capable of returning to winning form. SCOOTER LOU (3) is stepping up in class on his latest Ballarat victory but he was able to dash home in a sizzling final quarter of 27.2 seconds and scored convincingly so he is capable of taking the next step forward. WICKED WIZARD (6) hasn’t finished further back than fourth at his past six starts and should run his usual honest race. He met a smart one in All Over It at his latest third and scored in a handy mile rate of 1.58.6 (2150m) at Shepparton three starts ago.
