RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: DRAXON (4) was very well backed last time out and had no luck whatsoever, surrendering the lead mid-race only to be dragged back to last by a tiring runner. The trials and form prior suggest he’s going well and can show speed again and with better luck be hard to beat. SOHO PLAYGIRL (8) and GOLDEN HOOK (9) are on the quick back up from Sunday where both had a strong chance, and on ratings they are the quality pair, they just have to overcome the backrow draw. ISLAND YANKEE (2) resumes here as a 3yo and has trialled ok. His form last preparation was quite good, and although he’s taking on more experienced types stays under notice.
