RACE COMMENT
A small field lines up for the stand start where SOUTHERN LUCK (6) brings strong form as the Easter Cup heat winner and should take beating even over the 2090 metres. SAPPHIRE GAMBLER (4) is well suited in these types of races, though is often at his best when leading — the small field may help his chances regardless. JILLIBY JAY SEA (2) looks the best of the front row runners and is likely to roll forward and set an even tempo, making the backmarkers work. DONE WELL (3) made good ground last start in a similar event and while her stand-start manners can be hit and miss, she should still be in the finish.
