RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: PLAYA DEL CARMEN (2) is working into some form having been placed in four of her past five starts and she has the conditions to suit her here. She is much better drawn than her latest second behind Always Skye High so she is capable of going one better. BILLY ZIPPIN (11) broke early and worked hard mid-race so he put in a creditable performance at his latest fourth. He is better than his form reads and should be competitive under these conditions if he delivers a fool proof display. ALDEBARAN MAVERICK (10) finished second under similar conditions three starts ago and has struck trouble at his past two attempts. He is worth thought in an open race. BROWN EYED KATE (3) and WISTFUL LADY (6) have both been taking on better fields under the standing start conditions lately and are not without a chance.
