RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: MIKI TO SUCCESS (10) has established himself as one of the up-and-coming stars of the sport with a string of top performances in recent months. He was huge running fourth in the AG Hunter Cup behind Swayzee, then sat parked to win at Melton and again in the recent Charlton Pacing Cup in track record time with a flat tyre. He’s airborne and is clearly the horse to beat here. Local chance JILLIBY NITRO (5) was a brilliant ambush winner of the Geelong Pacing Cup two runs ago and was left a bit flat-footed in a dash home over the sprint trip last weekend. He’s back to his favoured long distance event and is a key danger. OLIVER DAN (7) is a stablemate to MIKI TO SUCCESS (10) who has been competing in many of the big races and won’t be far away, while EASTBRO CHRISSY (2) led and beat CRIME WRITER (1), SPRINGFIELD AFFAIR (3) and OPERATIVE LINE (6) – who broke gear and was pulled up – in the recent Mt Gambier Country Cup. They’re all solid place chances.
