RACE COMMENT

GEMMY LOU (1) is first up in the state for trainer Rodney Ashwood and looks the likely leader from the pole. Off recent mainland efforts, she could take catching if able to control the race. OHANA BY THE SEA (2) has had little luck since arriving but gets her chance to improve from the favourable draw. LIFE ONA HIGHWAY (5) is another first starter in the state with good gate speed and may look to head forward early.
