RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: MAGGACIS (7) bounced back to his best form with a runaway victory over a field of very similar standard at Mildura last week. He is awkwardly drawn on the inside of the second row but he is clearly the horse to beat if he receives normal luck in running. GRENADE (3) finished a distant second behind MAGGACIS (7) last week and appears to a strong quinella chance again. He possesses early pace and should settle close to the speed from his good draw. NEVS DREAM (6) is a brilliant beginner and led throughout for a dominant victory at Mildura two starts ago. She attempted to lead throughout at her latest fifth but is worth another chance against this field. BEARTASTIC WRITER (1), STONEBRIDGE STAR (4) and CORNELIA (5) are all worth thought in multiple combinations. BACK: MAGGACIS (7) – 3 units (win)
