RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: THE DARK THUNDER (3) is resuming since an eighth at Melton in the Breeders Crown on December 13. He will strip fitter after a comfortable Bendigo trial victory last week and he should give a forward showing first up. WAIKARE ADRIENNA (11) did a very good job after making an early error when seventh at Metropolitan level two starts ago then held her own in the straight when fifth behind Mac Flick at Bendigo. This race is much easier and she should be hitting the line strongly. KYVALLEY JETSTREAM (8) ran a game second behind the in-form trotter Quirky Character then followed with a handy finishing third behind Antonov. He is awkwardly drawn but is racing well enough to figure in the finish. PRETTYBOY HARRY (7) was resuming since December 02 when he was very wide on the home turn and finished off well for fifth at Kilmore. He should be fitter after that performance and is worth a ticket each way. BACK: THE DARK THUNDER (3) – 2 units (win)
