RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: MAC FLICK (6) progressed forward to find a forward position and overcame a tough trip when she defeated ABBIE (2) in a slick mile rate of 1.56.1 last time out. This race is a bit tougher but she looms as one of the leading chances again. KEAYANG GYPSY (4) attempted to lead throughout and was beaten on the post when second behind Charleston Avenue at Maryborough. She commenced from the second line and overcame a tough run to win three starts ago and should give a forward showing from her good draw here. RUBYS DREAM (7) should be at her peak form after having three starts back from a break. She commenced from the handicap of 20m, pushed forward to find the lead mid-race and held on to win at Maryborough last outing. She boasts a strong record and must be considered as a winning chance again. ALDEBARAN BROOKE (8) appears to be very well graded in this event but will need luck from the inside of the second line.
