RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: MAJOR ROY (8) is a tough pacer, which should win a race at short notice. He raced out three horses wide for the entire trip when a big third on debut then endured another tough run and broke stride at the 300m when a creditable third behind Dallascowboy at Charlton. MISS DOOBEE (6) is a first starter, which has won two trials recently and must be kept safe. She finished off in handy final sectionals to win comfortably at her latest trial attempt. MISSMALACHITE (3) worked extremely hard in the early stages and eventually found the front at the 1100m when a brave third at Stawell. She is a maiden from 33 starts but is getting closer to the money. SHUDABOUGHTABOAT (7) is still learning but he continues to improve with every attempt. He wanted to hang out and was reluctant to get back into the sprint lane before switching to the outside and finishing off nicely at his latest third. BACK: MAJOR ROY (8) – 1 unit (each way)
