RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: ROYAL SAXON (5) is racing in great form and is a good chance of leading throughout. He led, kicked clear on the home turn and was grabbed on the line when second behind Watchtheclock last week. CHEERS POVERTY (8) raced without cover throughout, pressured the leader and went down fighting when third behind Monsieur Flamel in a mile of 1.55.2 at Charlton last week. He prefers to race close to the speed so being drawn on the second line is a disadvantage but he is racing too well to dismiss. ESCOBAR (7) will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment and was able to win a race at Mildura at the end of last season so he rates as a value hope. ORATOR (4) has performed well from behind the leader at her past two attempts and is worth thought again from her reasonable draw. BACK: ROYAL SAXON (5) – 2 units (win)
