RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: AMERICAN ASSASSIN (8) was resuming since June when he settled down last, angled out four horses wide at the quarter pole, hit the front in the home straight and peaked late when a creditable fourth at Ballarat. He should derive a lot of benefit from that performance and should take beating under these conditions. FAIR CHANCE (2) was caught wide early, restrained to last then attempted to make a run from the back when sixth at Charlton. She had little luck last time and she will appreciate her best draw for a long time so she must be respected. CHOGI (4) is a speedy mare, which hit the line strongly for third behind Wingate Guy last outing. She is rising in class for this assignment but she is worth a ticket each way. JAMES GARNER (3) is racing consistently and has claims along with STARZINHEREYES (7). BACK: AMERICAN ASSASSIN (8) – 2 units (win)
