RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: HELLO POSSUMS (1) finished quickly from last when a distant third at Geelong last outing. She has been placed in three of her five starts to date and she should be hard to beat from the pole position. LIKE A GAZELLE (10) settled in the second half of the field from a poor draw and sustained a long run out three horses wide when second behind American Michi at Melton last outing. She has been placed in two of her past three starts and performed well enough last outing to warrant respect. DIAMONTY QUEEN (8) is a nicely bred first starter for trainer Warren Greene, which has shown some ability at the trials and strikes a suitable assignment first up. ILLUMINATE ME (7) attempted to lead throughout when second at Cranbourne then battled on well after enduring a tough run at Melton. She is widely drawn but warrants respect.
