RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: JAKARTA (6) is racing in good form and deserves to break through for a win. He finished off well for a game second behind the in-form trotter Crusher Clyde at Terang. His third in the Horsham Cup in December is a good form reference for this event. QUAKE PROOF (3) finished off strongly when a handy second behind Wallis last outing. He has been racing well against handy opposition and is worth a ticket each way. PARIS KAY (8) will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment and should gain an economical run from the trailing draw. She was runner up behind the handy trotter Dossier three starts ago. DESERT ASSASSIN (5) has returned from a break in good form and has the early speed to obtain a prominent position in the early stages. He is worth thought along with SCAR (2), KARAKAJACK TOOTH (7), JACK SPRAT (10), CENTURION DREAM (12) and IM ABOVE THE LAW (13) in a race of many chances.
