RACE COMMENT
MACH ASSASSIN (1) has good gate speed and an ideal draw in this race. He was running on well two starts ago in a 1.53 mile rate before not being ideally suited when getting back in a slowly run race. He should be hard to run down in this race. MOOPS (2) has options in a small field whether he elects to drop into the pegs or stay in the running line. Led all the way last start at this track and should be thereabouts again with the right run. SEASIDE GLORY (5) led last start and was possibly a touch disappointing when missing the placings there given the quality of horse she is at her best. She led and won four starts ago in good time ay Albion Park. The draw looks awkward and she will need luck at some stage. GEM PUNTER PETE (6) was able to lead all the way last start at Albion Park from the stand start. He has always seemingly been better when driven with a sit and may get that opportunity in this race from the wide draw.
